Route 6 crash
On Friday June 2 at approximately 12:30 pm, Wellfleet Police and Fire responded to a 4 car accident in the area of Route 6 and Spring Brook Road. Upon the arrival of police they learned that one of the vehicles was a large cement mixer with the operator being entrapped inside. Public safety officials assisted by bystanders rendered first aid and helped get the operator free. The operator suffered serious life threatening juries and was flown to a Boston Hospital by Medflight.
Other operators and passengers of the other vehicles were examined and / or treated at the scene with minor or no injuries.
Route 6 was closed for several hours as the fire treated the injured, police investigated the accident scene and the proper equipment responded for the recovery of the cement mixer.

R. B. Our and Cape Cod Ready mix assisted MA Highway with the recovery of the spilled cement, fluids and uprighting the large cement mixer.
At this time no information on the operators and passengers are being released as the accident is being investigated and the information is being collected.
The cause and circumstances of the accident remain under investigation by the Wellfleet Police Department assisted by the cape reconstruction team and the MA State Police.
